  • Will someone teach me how to wakeboard?
All our cable operators are able to provide instructions too. They will be there to advise you throughout your session, whether you are a beginner or a more advanced rider, they will be more than happy to give you a handy tip.
  • How does the cable wakeboarding system work?
We have 2 straight line cables for wakeboarding. It is a maximum of one wakeboarder per cable per session. Attached to the straight line is a handle line, which you hold onto. Unlike wake boarding behind a boat, you will experience a forward and upward pull, meaning it is easier to get up and riding. Each cable is operated by an instructor, who is able to match the speed to your ability. The upward pull, speed control and one to one coaching allows for quick progression. You do not need to have any previous board experience to be up and riding in a beginners lesson.
  • I've bought a package, how do I book my time slots?
You will have been emailed a discount code. Copy the discount code and follow the link back to the booking system to book your desired date, cable (north or south) and time under 'book wakeboarding via pre-purchased package'. Enter the discount code at checkout.
  • Can I use my own board?
Yes, you can but we do ask that before you enter the water you allow our staff to check the board (not all boards are built to hit features). If you are using obstacles you must remove the fins. All wakeboarders use their own equipment at their own risk, including boots/bindings, helmets and impact vests/buoyancy aids.
  • What are the 'conditions of use' for wakeboarding?

  • How long is a wakeboarding session?
Each session is 15 minutes long. If you book a taster sessions you will receive 1 x 15 minute session. If you book a beginners lesson you will receive 2 x 15 minute sessions. Please note that the time you book is the time you are wakeboarding on the water and it is advised that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your session to allow enough time to check in and change. Please arrive at least 30 minute before session if having a beginner lesson. If you are late, you will lose this time on the water.
  • Can I hit the obstacles?
For your safety, before you can hit the obstacles and water features you must be able to complete the following wakeboard manoeuvres whilst remaining in control of your board: Hold a hard heel side and toe side edge Negotiate corners Ollie Turn the board from regular to switch and back Ride switch at least 100m Ollie to switch Our instructors and cable operators will assess your riding when you first enter the water and if they are confident you are obstacle ready you can then start hitting the obstacles.
  • Should I book the north or south cable?
South Cable Obstacles: Pool gap, rail and incline, barrel. North Cable Obstacles: 2xkickers and a box. For beginners, it does not matter which cable you book as you receive one-to-one coaching on both cables. Ringo Rides MUST be booked on North Cable.
